The Global Peace & Unity Event is held at the Excel Conference & Exhibition Centre. The historic GPU event covers a total area exceeding 40,000m² divided into a main conference area; an exhibition area; Prayer areas, Kids fun area and organisation offices and can accommodate in excess of 35,000 attendees on each day. A Dynamic Islamic Exhibition: The Event incorporates an eye catching and spectacular Islamic exhibition for exploration & discovery covering an area of more than 16,000 m². This two day exhibition has exhibits and attractions for all offering an exclusive platform to all businesses and organisations.
The Sacred Exhibition: Once again the Global Peace & Unity Event will present the grand exhibition of the two Holy Mosques from Makkah and Medinah.
The GPU Awards & Competitions Final: The GPU Event will once again acknowledge and award with ceremonies to include the following prestigious categories;Life time achievement Award,The Friends of Islam Award, andEducation Awards As well as the finals of the following competitions;The Model Mosque,Husne Qiraat, andNational Qiraat Competition
Nasheed Concert: The Nasheed Concert promises to please an audience of all ages and backgrounds by showcasing a wide variety of nasheed performances from around the world. This would also include special appearance by the winner of Nasheed Competition being run on the Islam Channel. The concert also features entertaining comedy acts and martial arts performances set to mesmerise the audience.
Workshops: GPU Events also present a selection of complimentary educational workshops with some of the worlds leading scholars and speakers. The workshops are open to all and include Q & A sessions offering participants an excellent opportunity to acquire knowledge and benefit from live interaction.
Kids Zone: The Global Peace & Unity Event is a family event and places a special emphasis on providing entertainment for children of all ages. Each year we have extended our attractions driven by a commitment to educate, entertain and encourage children. This year brings Ø Kid’s area with twice as many rides so suit toddlers and teenagers and off course where the adults can get away with it too!Ø Adventurous skateboarding and BMX bike performance from world class riders with public coaching sessions – not for weak hearted!Ø Football tournaments between highly competitive teams with great sporting spirits! Crèche facilities will also be made available.
Multicultural Cuisine: As part of our promise to ensure that the GPU Event is a truly family occasion we have arranged for a rich spread of mouth watering Halal cuisines. There will be an exclusive food court available in the exhibition area spanning 2000m² equipped with restaurant style seating and a picnic area.
