The Global Peace & Unity Events hosts national awards ceremonies for exceptional accomplishments in the diverse areas of Lifetime Achievement, Friends of Islam and Education.

These prestigious awards merit superior contributions and outstanding individual contribution. The GPU is also the stage for live finals of two year-long competitions run on the Islam Channel; the National Qiraat Competition and the Model Mosque Competition.
